The M2 Pro system-on-a-chip received up to 12 CPU cores, up to 19 graphics cores, and up to 32 GB of combined memory. M2 Max – up to 38 graphics cores and up to 96 GB of combined memory. The CPU of the “max” is similar to the “proshka”.
All this allows M2 Pro to become 40% more powerful than M1 Pro in Photoshop and 25% faster to compile code in Xcode. How much faster and more powerful Max is not reported.
In addition, there are 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, as well as Mac mini on the M2 with two Thunderbolts and on the M2 Pro with four Thunderbolts. The design is the same as in previous versions. Nothing new!
The new products have Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, as well as support for external displays up to 8K.
MacBook prices range from $1999 to $6299 at the very top. “Miniq” – from $599 to $4499 is also in the top. Pre-orders begin today, and the devices will arrive on January 24th.
