BDI , a well-known developer and manufacturer of office and home furniture, has introduced a series of Profile Media cabinets designed to accommodate AV equipment and store film and music libraries. The new products were developed by designer Matthew Weatherly . The BDI Profile Media series includes two models of cabinets: a taller one with three doors (Profile 8477) and a lower four-door one (Profile 8479). Each of them is offered in two finishes – washed ask (light) or toasted oak (dark).

With its solid wood lattice door design, the BDI Profile conceals contents from view while providing acoustic transparency. Sound, heat from operating components, and IR signals from remote controls are easily transmitted through these doors.

The BDI Profile 8477 is a three-door cabinet measuring 157 x 76 x 50 cm (W x H x D) with four adjustable shelves that can accommodate 6 to 9 AV components. It is wide enough to accommodate a TV with a screen size of up to 65 inches.

The BDI Profile 8479 is a four-door cabinet measuring 208 x 60 x 50 cm (W x H x D) with three adjustable shelves that can accommodate 5-8 components, including a soundbar or center channel speaker. The large width allows for TVs up to 85 inches in size.

Main features of the BDI Profile Media series AV stands :

Adjustable Shelves: Both models of the cabinets feature adjustable tempered glass shelves, which are ideal for placing soundbars and other media equipment. Threaded inserts allow you to change the position of the shelves as needed.

Ventilation: Additional ventilation features built into the bottom shelf and rear panels of the cabinets help maintain the internal temperature of components at safe levels.

Cable Organizer: Built-in cable organizer features such as cable ties and channels help keep cables out of sight.

Plinth: Low-profile roller base allows for easy placement of the cabinet, while an internal leveling system helps compensate for uneven floors.

Rear Panels: Included removable rear panels provide cable access when connecting components.

No rattling: the cabinet doors are equipped with a soft-closing system.

TV Safety: TV stands come with a TV safety belt to prevent large screen TVs from tipping over.

Finish Options: The BDI Profile Media AV Cabinet Collection is available in a dark Toasted Oak finish or BDI’s new lighter Washed Oak finish.
