Monoprice has announced four new power amplifiers for home cinemas – Monolith M2100X , M3100X , M5100X and M7100X . The number after the letter M means the number of amplification channels. The new products continue the Monoprice tradition of offering quality products at reasonable prices.
All Monolith amplifiers, regardless of the number of amplification channels, offer 90 watts of power per channel when driven into a nominal 8 ohm load and 135 watts into a 4 ohm load, while the output stages operate in the traditional class A / B and provide a damping factor exceeding 500, which will allow the amplifiers to confidently cope even with a complex load. The switching arsenal includes both unbalanced inputs on RCA connectors and balanced on XLR. The amplifiers are housed in standard 3RU rack mount cases.
The offered range of models is so diverse that it allows you to easily equip the cinema with a surround sound system of almost any configuration – you just need to add an AV processor or a receiver with a multi-channel analog output.
The Monolith M2100X, M3100X and M5100X multi-channel home theater power amplifiers are now available in the US. The Monolith M2100X two-channel amplifier has a suggested retail price of $400 , the M3100X three-channel model costs $500 , and the five-channel M5100X costs only $50 more at $550 . The Monolith M7100X seven-channel amplifier is expected to be available soon. Then its price will become known.
