Pioneer Elite VSX ‑ LX105, VSX ‑ LX305 and VSX ‑ LX505 – New Season AV Receivers
After a months hiatus, Pioneer announced three new home theater receivers for the US market. The new models are called Pioneer Elite VSX ‑ LX105, VSX ‑ LX305 and VSX ‑ LX505 .
European models, obviously, will lose the Elite prefix, and the younger VSX ‑ LX105 will most likely change its index to Pioneer VSX ‑ 935 in Europe . At the moment it is known that the older models VSX ‑ LX305 and VSX ‑ LX505 will receive the Dirac Live automatic calibration system , and that all receivers will support Dolby Atmos and DTS: X , as well as the AirPlay 2 protocols, DTS Play ‑ Fi, Works with Sonos, Chromecast, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Naturally, all new models will work with HDMI 2.1 , and they are equipped with boards from Nuvoton Technology , devoid of known compatibility issues.
The built-in amplifiers for the receivers are 7 x 80 watts for the Pioneer VSX ‑ 935 , 9 x 100 watts for the Pioneer VSX ‑ LX305 and 9 x 120 watts for the Pioneer VSX ‑ LX505 . More detailed characteristics of the models, as well as prices will be announced later.
