Shanling has released an upgraded version of its Hi-Res player M3 , which received the Ultra index .

The Shanling M3 Ultra is housed in an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy body with a tempered glass back. On the front panel is a 4.2-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.

Two ES9219C chips are installed in the DAC block , and a dual RT6863 op amp is used in the amplifier section . The output power is 260 mW at 32 ohms , 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm jacks are provided for connecting headphones. The central processor is an eight-core Snapdragon 665 , the player is running Android 10 . Wireless capabilities include a dual-band Wi-Fi module and a Bluetooth 5.0 chip with LDAC support .

The player has a 3500 mAh battery , its full charge is enough for 20.5 hours of operation. The player is able to work with PCM streams 32bit / 384kHz and DSD256 , as well as fully decode MQA files .
