JBL T760 BTNC: Lightweight with an impressive battery

JBL T760 BTNC are positioned as a portable solution that you can always take with you. Here, the lightweight form is a factor, and an impressive battery, and noise reduction. It sounds interesting, in practice it shows itself quite well.

The headphones arrive in a cardboard box of a rather stylish but not extraordinary design. The package includes a gentleman’s set of inexpensive JBL headphones and other brands: 3.5 mm cable, charging cable, waste paper.

The headphones feel safe in the hands – the plastic does not cause serious complaints, there are no creaks and backlash, the unpleasant smell of plastic is not added, the leather substitute is of average quality. There is no soft touch here, but I will not say that it greatly spoils the impression. Ear pads made of a leather substitute that feels comfortable and confident. There is a small soft “pillow” on the headband.

Ease of use

The headphones connect to the sound source easily and with a pleasant sound of hitting the strings. The connection is stable, there were no issues during the entire test. The fit is quite tight and puts pressure on the head at first, but when you get used to it, it gets better.

The ear pads are of medium size, so they press excessively on large ears – after an hour of listening (with glasses), it became not very comfortable to sit. Over time, the ears get used to it, so I would not call it a problem, but a reason to try them on before buying (and let’s not forget about the same Marshalls, which put a lot of pressure on the ears at first). However, the headphones are well fixed on the head and do not fall off, which will be an obvious advantage on the street.

The bowls rotate and fold – therefore, no particular gloom is expected with transportation. For additional conveniences, ANC was brought here. I won’t say that it works perfectly or reliably well: the tests were conducted near the TV, which headphones with the music turned on muted by 70 percent. Not ideal, but better than nothing, and if you immerse yourself in your work – the effect of noise reduction is felt. In addition, passive noise isolation works well.

However, in this price category, this is a nice bonus. In addition, the headphones have a very large battery – the manufacturer claims up to 50 hours of operation without ANC, which is definitely a big plus. How many in fact – it is difficult to say, but during the week of testing they did not discharge, and did not even vote to change the charge level. in this price category, this is a nice bonus. In addition, the headphones have a very large battery – the manufacturer claims up to 50 hours of operation without ANC, which is definitely a big plus.

Sound

The main tests were conducted in wireless mode. Considering the stated description of the headphones, I consider it fair to “drive” them as the manufacturer positions them.

The headphones are clearly focused on the middle. I didn’t hear JBL Pure Bass Sound, moreover – I don’t like the bass and bass here. Of course, they are there, but they are somewhat flat and without depth and physicality. They try to take the woofers by quantity and volume, without resorting to anything more.

In contrast to the LF – the middle frequencies here play the role of the first violin: they are fast, detailed and legible. I would like more depth of sound, but for something light or moderately heavy (the same Queens of the Stone Age), they are enough.

The high frequencies here are average by sample – they sound clear, without distortion, but I would like more depth.

The detail is average – the instruments can be distinguished without significant effort, but if you want something more – it becomes more difficult. The character of the sound is pronounced “musical”

An imaginary stage of medium width – the bass player does not sit on the head of the guitarist, there is an allocation in space, but without anything outstanding.

The main impression I got from the sound is that the headphones are fast and try to be musical, but the depth and richness of the sound could have been worked on more thoroughly.

Conclusion

The impression of the JBL T760 BTNC is mixed. On the one hand, there is dynamic sound, a cool battery, good ANC and an attractive price. On the other hand, I would like the aforementioned to be deeper and better. As an option for listening to music in the background, on the move or jogging – these headphones can find their place, especially considering their price.

Therefore, if you want to try something starting with bluetooth, a good battery, ANC, and applications for audiophile are not needed – you can listen to these headphones.
